I agree. US open should be hard, but not +8 on Thursday hard.

It should allow the best players in the world to showcase their talent, not have pros grab irons off the tee so they don't hit the ball 2 ft off line and end up in waist high rough. Then they hit the ball 2 ft too far on their approach and they're 6 ft below the green with an impossible up and down.
Only way this is entertaining is if you have a favorite player that's close to the lead and you can sit back and enjoy everyone else 5-putting

I like it. Everything except the Masters is prepped for years in advance. The fact that the preparations, in advance, can outpace the players ability and really test a professional is a good thing.

Watching a tournament that has players at -20 is fricking annoying to me.

These types of courses showcase how spoiled professional golfers have become.

250 acres maintained at heights of 2.5" in the rough, and far less in the short grass areas, are not natural.

This track is already playing brutal. Considering the weather forecast, they’re going to have to water the shite out of it to keep it from crossing the line. I’m looking forward to seeing how it plays out.

Wait.

Did Tiger try to go at that par 5 in 2?

Isn't hat one impossible?

No it’s not impossible, he was like 260 out on his approach shot after a 320 yard drive

Finau knocked it on from the same spot Tiger was. If Tiger turns it over a little more, he would've been on

Crossing what line? The only water that will be put out is by a hose, to the greens and bunkers. The use of sprinkler heads is basically a no no for any good golf tournament week.

Is this fox coverage damned near unwatchable for anyone else? Constantly freezing and skipping.

I can understand not wanting -20 scores, but this is pretty absurd.

The ball is bouncing up and down on pretty much every putt. There should be a little more moisture.

I don’t like watching good shots punished

Ahhh, yes...156 players walking across each green has 0 effect on the ball. It's all because it's too dry.

More moisture will only exacerbate your made up issue.

I'm going to step out. Y'all have no idea.

When the wind shifts I think scoring goes lower. These winds are not from prevailing direction I believe.
