Me too. But it makes sense though. He will be on an innings limit for the rest of the year and the Short Season squads can carry more pitchers so he won't immediately have to jump into a 5 day rotation

BTW, Singleton got promoted to AAA and F-Mart traded which likely means Springer will take over that spot.

I'm hoping for Preston Tucker to take Springer's spot in Corpus.

But only losing by 1. You haven't had the chance to see our woeful bullpen in a tight game.

That bullpen. Embarrassing. I feel bad for Bedard (and every other one of our starting pitchers who leave with the lead).

I called this shite. Jose Cisnero has been our best bullpen arm all year. He hasn't pitched in 3 days and sits in the pen while Hector fricking Ambriz pitches the 8th. It doesn't make any sense.

Aaaaand another.

I actually think the core of this team is not all that terrible. Castro is turning it on, Dominguez has shown flashes, Altuve is borderline All Star, starting pitching has been quality as of late, just that god awful bullpen.

I really love altuve but he aint the long term solution I'm afraid. I think deshields supplants him.

Ramirez has now homered in literally every single game I've ever seen him play against the Astros.

Altuve is solid, but Deshields has more upside. He still has a ways to go before he puts it all together though.

Yeah I'm curious what happens to our team in the next couple of years. Wasn't Deshields originally an OF?

fricking Ambriz.

Wasted a fricking gem by Bedard.

I hope Bedard spear tackles Ambriz over the buffet table in the clubhouse ala Rick Vaughn

He has always been a 2B with the Astros. There was a lot of speculation prior to the draft that he would play center. I don't know how much time he spent at either position in high school.
