“The only way to properly cure him of his addiction is to pay him $5 million to be our starting quarterback.”

Yeah this isn’t going to quell any nationwide anti TTU sentiment.
The situation is incredibly binary and for him to suggest otherwise is ridiculous.
You bet. You bet on a team you play on. You forfeit the right to play.
He’s not going to jail because of his “illness”. It’s perfectly ok to understand that some things are privileges and certain behaviors can have recourses in losing privileges

Its actually incredibly binary.
Either you're allowing an admitted gambler who bet against his own teams to play based on the ruling of a judge who grossly overstepped to benefit a local team or you arent.
If he steps on the field for you thats as binary as it gets.

He gets it just fine.
He's just counting on there being no consequences which remains to be seen.
This is the end game for college athletics if he's right. You cant tell me schools wont find sympathetic judges in Columbus, OH or Auburn, AL if this is the precedent being set.
Its no different than telling the NFL they cant suspend a player because it would cause them irreparable harm.
If you cant enforce rules there are no rules.

That's so bad. So, so, so bad.
Hiding behind his "clinical diagnosis".
He can still offer him that support system if he wants and not let him play football. The answer is actually a very simple one Kirby, just don't let him participate in sports and just give him all the love you pretend he needs right now anyway.

They are talking about this dude like he has stage 4 cancer, and it's honestly gross.

1) I hate where college athletics is at.
2) the vast majority of schools would do the same. So save yourself the moral victory lap
3) burn it all down

Is this guy serious? He's compromised the integrity of the sport by gambling on games with inside information. These rednecks seriously might be retarded

I fricking HATE these bullshite, calculated public apology statements that these people/universities feel the need to put out every single time there’s a fricking scandal
They always say so much, without saying anything at all. Just don’t say anything and let the shite play out. It doesn’t change anything and makes you look like a phony, pathetic loser

Write all the statements you want. Frame it however you want. The bottom line is, this dude can’t play. Can’t happen.
