hope Sorsby and Chambliss both have the same fate this season. Both are everything that is wrong with college sports both at the team and player level.

My joy for CFB has been replaced by just hate watching

That's not what he said. It's a temporary injunction until it can be properly litigated, and the judge determined there would be irreparable harm to hold him out until a final judgement is made.

A temporary injunction requires more than just irreparable harm. It also requires a likelihood of success on the merits. Thus, by granting a temporary injunction, the judge clearly intends to rule in Sorsby's favor at the eventual trial.

What's the burden of proof for proving likelihood of success on the merits? I thought I saw that it was prima facie?

RIght, the conferences and CFP just need to throw everything they can at Tech to make them tap out.

Why not do the same to Ole Miss who started all of this “run to a judge when you don’t get your way with the NCAA” hullabaloo? On what grounds does Chambliss deserve another year under NCAA rules?

Which is why I have a problem with this selective outrage regarding Tech. Everyone felt sorry for OM that they couldn’t keep their coach and wanted to them to get a small win after what big bad Kiffin did to them without thinking through all of the implications of the Pandora’s box Chambliss was opening.

And here we are.

Y’all are so full of crap.

If only he had pulled a gun on someone, sold some drugs or beaten the shite out of his girlfriend - he’d be just fine and deserving of a second chance in your books.

He puts a bet on a few games and you act like he’s an untouchable.

This is more about TT not becoming irrelevant. CC wants TT to have a seat at the big boys table.

This is the dumbest argument. It’s either disingenuous or ignorant.

Those off of the field matters don’t make anyone question whether the outcome of a game is legitimate. Betting on your own team brings into question the legitimacy of any game that your team participated in.

Neither should be allowed to play.

Situation 1 = Player might be a piece of shite, but at least the outcome of the game was determined by the play on the field.

Situation 2 = Nobody knows if the outcome of the game was a result of legitimate competition or if certain players tanked on purpose because they had wagers on their own game.

The legal argument for Chambliss actually makes sense though. There is inconsistent application of the medical red shirt rules. I’m not saying that I think he should ultimately be granted a medical redshirt, but there is a possibility that he would.

There’s no inconsistency in regards to betting on your team. You do it, and you’re ineligible, end of story.

I think the way they handled this whole situation just ensured that TT will be excluded from the big boys table for a very long time.
