You can and they did. If defenders know the red won’t call it they’ll all but straight up tackle the shooter in that situation. That’s what makes your argument so dumb.

Auburn deserved to lose and the refs didn’t cost them.
They missed the FT to deal the game and committed a dumb foul when they had the game won

I mean, they showed the replay where his right leg actually was pushed into his left leg while he still had the ball in his hands.... if the shot is already off, I would agree with you 100%, but that directly affected the shot.

Right, true college basketball fans should be happy they were consistent with calling that foul. They’ve been calling it when the guy is under where they land, let alone when they hit them mid shot

Even Barkley agrees that it was the right call.
Had the ref not made the call, the Cavs fans would have been complaining like the Saints fans did for the no-call on the Rams. It was the right call.
