During the 1982 NCAA Tournament, on March 21, 1982, Gettys sunk 10 consecutive free throws down the stretch to move Houston past Boston College ...

Difference is Rumeal was NEVER fouled.

How do they miss that miss that double dribble though? That no call absolutley cost them the game. If they call that with 1.5 secs left...Auburn wins. But let’s all talk about a play that should’ve NEVER happened.

Crazy how literally everything went wrong for Auburn in the last seconds for them to lose that game. Guy hits a desperation three, they miss the free throw, missed double dribble call, fouled Jerome when he was about to take an off balance half court shot, foul the shooter, Guy hits all three FTs.

Refs wanted to let them play

Yea they missed the double dribble but he got grabbed on the arm before he dribbled again and it wasn't called so whatever. If they called the foul he wouldn't have done so.
That’s what I said as well. Looked like the Auburn player tried to, and may have fouled before the double dribble. But if you miss the foul, you should call the double dribble.

I’m worried Moretti thinks he’s a sharpshooter tonight
Please let Culver get 35

Yes. Wasn’t a ton of contact but it was a foul. He made contact with the shooter on the way down.

He hadn’t released the ball and was under him not allowing him to land. Plus he jumped into him

If that little bump was going to be called consistently, both teams would have had 25+ fouls each half. But as it was, both teams had 4 fouls until they started fouling on purpose in the last 30 seconds.
Players got hammered all game long around the goal with no whistle, but for some reason this ref decided to go all eagle eye with less than a second left on a turn around three point desperation attempt.

I thought that was a joke at first until he said ...Illinois.

If that's Duke, UNC, UK, Kansas, UCLA or Syracuse, that's not a foul and everybody knows it. That's my problem, the double standard.

Just remembered Auburn did the exact same thing vs NMSU but he missed 2 of 3
