Why not? It’s probably 30M over four years if all contingencies are met. So ~9M a year split across ~25 guys is 360K a year per player. Higher ranked guys getting at least 500K and the lower ranked guys (relative within the class) getting 200-250K.

Anyone thinking A&M will remain an 8-4 team with this talent accumulation is missing the bigger picture.
Jumbo will pull off 9-3 next year

Bama and UGA were already doing this long before NIL was a thing

One-Because they would need to the same next and the year after that and the year after that. In the end it would be $30M a year to keep a roster.
Two-Only the very top end QB's are going to bring the big money. No one is going to give a 4 star LB $200-300k just to sign.

The idea that we are throwing around even more than just a couple million total for all 32 is just insane
Part of me agrees. Another part of me thinks aTm is desperate enough to pay that and more.

Here’s Nakobe Dean’s parents’ LLC they formed when he signed with UGA in 2017.
College football lolololol.

College football lolololol.

OU Message Board? This wouldn't happen to be payback for texags poster AggieGrant06 blowing the whistle on Big Red Motors and getting Rhett Bomar ruled ineligible for OU now would it?

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, between Covid and this NIL bullshite, the 2019 LSU Tigers were the last true champions of college football.

This isn’t really what the spirit of NIL was supposed to be for. Players obviously were getting paid before, but with the addition of the portal, there’s no way this doesn’t destroy college football.

Litmus test for ROI on exorbitant NIL spending.
Can't be worse than teams boosters spending 10s of millions paying a coach they don't want anymore to chill by the pool.

can't wait for it to all perennially implode on their faces with 3+ losses per year after dishing out hundreds of millions on players and coaching

The price seems cheaper than I thought considering no one really wants to go to A&M. These players should have held out for more considering the obvious A&M desperation.

I wonder how the backcountry UGA fans feel about Nakobe Dean’s parents disrespecting the troops with that egregious name for a LLC

Any player with a hint of NFL potential isn’t staying if they aren’t playing or if they’re ready for the draft
It doesn't make them stay...it just retains the unpaid amount.
aTM is fine if they leave (if not playing) because the money is wasted on a bust if he stays

They would literally be breaking Texas state law and undoubtedly be doing illegal tax shite
Whats illegal about it? They are spending money thru an llc.....not hiding it in some offshore account avoiding taxes
