Looks like his contract is still on the books but isn’t being paid due to suspension.
In theory this gives the Heat space under the first apron but they can’t move his contract as part of bringing anyone else in.

The rigging isn’t players betting, it’s to screw the side where the majority of the money is bet
E.g. 80% of the money was on the under 227.5 in the Warriors-Lakers game, 228 was the total. Players get their cut out of the 60% lost as the 20% winners have to be paid out of that 80%
