what person on earth thought CDR would have a better career than D Rose???

Certainly not I. I honestly didn't think CDR was any better than any other supporting player on a final four team. I am not surprised he's not a stud in the NBA. I made this argument when CDR was drafted.

Dude, both Laettner and Augmon 'made it' in the pros. Do some research, Laettner had a long career and even made an all-star team. A career 13.0 ppg scorer 'made it'

Same with whoever said Keith Van Horn. Ya'll are badly missing the point of this thread

And for basketball, Paul Pierce and Raef Lafrentz maybe?

i dunno what this thread is entirely intended for with some of the answers but maybe. pierce was a stud and has been his whole career. lafrentz shoulda been better but tore his acl early in his career and ended up as a 10 ppg scorer. hard to say.

What?? He wants you to find two players on the same team, both of whom were presumably stars, except one flamed out in the pros and another excelled

I feel like people who are posting derrick rose and CDR dont understand the question.

I think people posting guys with 10 year careers (Laettner, Chris Jackson, Stanley Roberts) as "washouts" are missing it as well.

Cases like Juan Dixon/Steve Blake, Adam Morrison/Ronny Turiaf, Drew Henson/Tom Brady is what the OP is after.

One guy from the team is a sure thing, one guy was only expected to be preseason fodder and the second guy is the one that sticks.

Jameer Nelson and Delonte West.

Delonte West was regarded as the better NBA prospect in college, even though Nelson was clearly the star of St. Joseph's. It was interesting to see that Jameer ended up having the better career.

Buster Davis and Dwayne Bowe.

I thought that both of them had about equal potential as pro players, and they were drafted about like that. Davis never did anything. Bowe has pretty much lived up to expectations or slightly exceeded them.

So, which one was unheralded in college? The All-American, All-Conference guy picked in the first round or the All-American, All-Conference picked in the second round?

Which one flamed out in the pros? The guy who played 10 years and only made 2 Pro Bowls or the guy who played 15 and made 6?
