Yeah I was on that highschool team. Five D1 guys on a public bball team. Two NBA guys. Bracey led the west in scoring that year in the mcds all American game, was ranked higher than melo in HS, was considered on par or just a tad below melo even during their freshman year in college yet nobody even knows who Bracey is these days. Definitely thought he would be a stud. Props to deron... Definitely first guy in last guy out of the gym.

Matt Lienart and Reggie Bush.

Bush has had a solid career in the NFL as a running back, tough to do...

Lienart is a complete trash bag when it comes to being a professional QB.

James had a perfectly respectable career w/NE, including a 1K yard season and a SB appearance

High school teammates Randy Moss and Jason Williams in basketball. White chocolate had a decent NBA career. Randy could barely crack the starting roster of the U.S.B.L's Pennsylvania ValleyDawgs.

Ki-Jana Carter/Kerry Collins

Kordell Stewart/Michael Westbrook

Thought Westbrook would be an awesome receiver, and that Kordell would struggle to make it. You can probably throw Rae Carruth in there as well.

how about chris johnson and magnum rolle...teammates at laurinburg. rolle was a 5 star, pretty sure CJ was unranked. CJ developed into a nice sec player while rolle flamed out and transferred to la tech. rolle got drafted but i don't think he has ever played an actual nba game. Cj has done well on a series of randy livingston-esque 10 day contracts and just got picked up for the rest of the season by the wolves.

Dixon wasn't even supposed to have a college career. He was always undersized and was not highly regarded because of his slight frame. Though, Steve Blake? Yeah, that was surprising.

And I'd say both Brian Griese and Drew Henson over Tom Brady.

Brad Hawpe and Brad Crease - granted Hawpe was really good in college too, Crease was more highly regarded

I'll also toss out Shaq and Stanley. Classic example of roads diverging

Well it's not like Roberts never played in the league

He managed to hop around the NBA for about 10 years before getting banned from the league

That's a good one, I mean Cassel sucks but he's a starter (or was)

How about Matt Flynn and Ryan Periloux?

This one is the best IMO. In fact D Williams a lot of times was the third best guard on that team behind Brown and Luther Head.

Michael Redd and Scoonie Penn

I'll say Raymond Felton and Sean May.

While Sean May was good at Carolina, i never really felt like he was a stud. He was a fat 6'8 center. That doesn't translate to the NBA. Felton on the other hand was a prototypical point guard.

Felton and McCants. I thought for sure McCants would be a good impact player in the NBA. And boy I was dead wrong.

I'm pretty sure he's asking people to cite examples of how in college no one would have expected player A to have a better pro career than player B.

what person on earth thought CDR would have a better career than D Rose???
