They didn’t act like “we’re better than everyone else here” assholes the whole time they were in the SBC, unlike another school I seem to remember. Their coaches and administration weren’t a pain in the arse starting shite at almost every conference tournament/championship like another school I seem to remember.

Pretty sad how back to back 8-5 seasons is worth more for the PAC 12 than a Sun Belt contending program. Shows where your program stands no matter how good you are. We have way more upside in the future than the Cajuns do.

You have a university president who actually enjoys school athletics and wants enthusiasm amongst the fanbase, and wants to attract new fans within the Hill Country region.
We have a university president who honestly couldn't care less and sure as hell ain't going to put forth effort trying to entice more fans in the Acadiana area. It's way too much work to have to plan for and manage a football stadium of 25k people or more.

The only way to entice fans is to field an elite FB program. String together multiple 11+ win seasons. Be a brand that people know is a force in the G5 much like Boise and UCF did for a long period.

Unlike video games, W/L’s don’t mean shite for conference realignment .
It’s all about tv markets and market size. The PAC will now have a presence in TX and the San Marcos/ Austin tv market

Where did I say any of that in my response? I was blaming our own university leadership, starting with the school president, for being too lazy in trying to promote athletics and grow the fanbase. I envy Texas State for having a president who is willing and wanting to do that.
