How was the Orange bowl?

You can talk when you beat a team with a winning record.

Uhhh, 2012 is this football season. They won the WAC in 2011. ULL hasn't won an outright conf. championship since 1970.

So the fact that we came closer to beating them than you did has nothing to do with comparisons?

Tell me again how many points you scored against them this year?

GREAT point! Holy shite. You a lawyer?

Let's use this retard logic with North Texas.

Back in December I said the New Orleans Bowl would have more people than the Sugar Bowl and you all laughed

Turns out the Sugar bowl only had 5,000 more people.

They were right for laughing b/c you were wrong. Considering where the two Sugar Bowl teams were from and how bad the match-up looked on paper, 5,000 is a pretty big number.

This is my biggest issue concerning UL-L fans. I'm from Lafayette. I've lived here my entire life. 3 years ago, you could walk right up to the gate, hand them your student ID (whether it was current or expired like mine) and find a seat on the 50 in the student section. By the 4th qtr, there were less than 10k fans left. I'd say that's "dedicated" alright. All of these self-righteous UL "fans" around town that hate LSU because they're simply LSU are in complete denial

this. congrats on the bowl, though ULL

Honesty.

Are we on par with LSU in sports? no. The SunBelt conference is not the SEC. LSU took athletics seriously when it mattered and moved into the right conference. UL is drastically behind. I get that, however; these bowl games, these winning seasons mean so much to the die hard fans that have been in the stands when there were only a few thousand people in Cajun Field.

Are we going to tout what you would call insignificant victories? FK yea we will. We know how crucial these things are to continue to build our program. Vanderbilt, as horrible in the past, as it has been in football is automatically lifted up bc of the SEC. Had we had the fortune to be in a AQ conference we'd be on par with other AQ conference schools.

I think what most, at least my group of friends, intends with these "boasting" and "bragging" is that if you break it down dollar for dollar...fan for fan. We believe that we get more for our money than you do. I think if you look at it from a scientific view that you will agree the more fans you have, the higher percentage of potential assholes you will get. So by logic the bigger a population (fan base) the more diverse that population will be aka more assholes.

We don't have penis envy, we don't want to be LSU, we don't want to have what you have...we want our own. We want to achieve our own success. And if your feelings get hurt, so be it. We'll come to your forum and post what we want because we are proud. If you don't care, then don't spend the energy to care so much.

We don't pay $8.75 million a year for 3 pass plays when trying to ice the game.

Remind me how the sequence of events went at the end of the ULL/ North Texas game?

Or the end of the UF game?

You don't pay for anything football related without tax dollars from the state.
