Historically speaking. Possibly a victim of the moment thing. But consider first:

Spurs win probability maxed out at in each game the Knicks won according to ESPN's win probability:
game 1: 94.1%
game 2: 83.6%
game 4: 99.6%
game 5: 97.1%

Then you have this:

I mean, maybe Greg Norman in the Masters? Matt Ryan in the 28-3 Super Bowl? I’ve never seen anything like this. Absolute fear in his eyes in crunch time this series.

Wild.

this one is pretty dumb considering the previous game. Never felt like this

It's not even the biggest choke by a Frenchman.

Jean Van de Vele had a three shot lead going into the par 4 18th hole of the British Open and proceeded to turn into a worse golfer than I am.

Greg Norman

I used to play a golf game on N64, and me and a friend had this running joke of "even though Greg Norman has 5 stroke lead with 4 holes to play, he could still win this".

The Spurs are young, I was pulling for them just because they were fun to watch, but to consistently dominant early on in every game and then melt down every time is pretty mind blowing.

Matt Ryan in the 28-3 Super Bowl?

You're saying Matt Ryan crumbled and lost the Super Bowl in the 2nd Half?

Second Half (Q3 & OT)

Completions/Attempts: 10–11

Passing Yards: 179 yards

Touchdowns: 2 (both in the 3rd quarter)

35-yard pass to Taylor Gabriel

6-yard screen pass to Tevin Coleman Heavy.com

Interceptions: 0

Passer Rating: 144.1 (career Super Bowl rating)

Geez, people WAY over-mythologize that game instead of the obvious, Shanahan got greedy, Falcons lost momentum, didn't run clock and Pats woke up. Its football, its not like Ryan was out there by himself or playing D against BB and Brady.

Here’s the human engagement you seek that is obviously lacking in your personal life.

How was your weekend, do anything fun?

Yeah Ryan didn’t necessarily fall apart.

Maybe Dan Quinn?

It's really impressive to see choking on that consistent of a level
This series could have been a sweep but instead Spurs lose 4-1

How about Aaron Judges batting average in the 2024 MLB playoffs?

He went 9 for 49 giving him an .184 average, well below the Mendoza line.

Rudy Gobert (the Corona super spreader that he is) is probably ecstatic because now there’s a new player to dub the “French Flamer”

That’s a “notable” one.

However, did the Yankees have sizable leads in each loss?

LeBron’s 2011 Finals vs Dallas might not be the worst, but it’s up there.

The Patriots also had a TD-scoring drive extended either 2 or 3 times by 3rd down penalties. I remember thinking the Falcons defense was gassed and sure enough, they didn't stop the Pats the rest of the game.
