he doesn't have to be polished, because he's a character and he's different. if he tried to start his career on tv i am sure he would have had to be more polished. it wouldn't have worked for him. it's not about him being white.
i am sure ESPN has had unpolished characters of all races. and they have had white people that had to be polished to make it as well.
