I was wrong about him leaving. I eat my crow on that. Doesn't mean that I don't know ball.

Nice to see I live rent free in your head.

Pickett is the same age as as Jalen Hurts. You think he's going to beat him out at some point?

New Steelers offensive coordinator Arthur Smith isn't believed to be high on Fields. Smith had a chance to draft Fields when he was the head coach of the Atlanta Falcons but chose to select tight end Kyle Pitts at No. 4 overall after his desired target Trey Lance was taken at No. 3.

Steelers general manager Omar Khan said that Smith would play a big role in the quarterback decisions, so he looms as a potential roadblock to a Fields trade.

This sounds like a rejection from Arthur is better than his approval.

Then what? You excercise Fields $26 million 5th year option when he hasn't proven he is a quality NFL starter or let him walk and also lose the assets you traded to get him?

Yes? You aren't paying a starter at all right now. Paying 5 this year and 25 next year for Fields when you're only paying RW minimum is a smart move if there's a chance JF can be the future.

I'm good. It is what it is but obviously KillerNut and Roux are taking umbrage in my supposed misery

It's a fricking message board, it's not that serious. I was wrong about him staying, thought they gave up on him too early, time to move on. But you, me and everyone else on here are wrong way more often than we're right.

All of this Fields love is baffling. What has he shown in 3 years to think he can turn the corner?

There has been a diva wr in their locker room every year for a while. It's basically next man up under Tomlin's watch. They should have sent Mike with Kenny.

The thing is though, he's kept those diva WR's in check pretty.much for the most part and when they get out of line, he sends them packing. It hasn't got to that point w/Pickens yet, and hopefully it won't.

Hell the fact that Tomlin kept Antonio Brown in check for as long as he did speaks volumes to his coaching abilities.

I figured you'd be hard as a rock over this though but you don't know ball so it doesn't matter. And Wilson never had to deal w/Matt Canada as his OC. Arguably the worst OC in the NFL the last two decades. And he's only here for this year. If you think that signals the end of Kenny in Pittsburgh then you're dumber than I thought. The competition will be good for him.

No one has taken an L this bad in quite some time. It's quite brilliant, actually.
