Was a great catch ...by the back up tight end.

Glad you are being objective.

Maybe not, but you sarcastically tried to undermine the point that he has mediocre receivers by pointing out a good catch made by a back up tight end.

Fwiw - I think the panthers receivers have come along pretty well this season even though none of them are great. Cam would certainly benefit from a stud WR, but it isn't as big of a handicap as some make it out to be.

Are you making an insinuation about his WRs here? If so, i'd love to know what that insinuation is.

Carolina's WRs stink.

I was trolling.

And I know they stink, but it's also dishonest when people act like Olsen isn't a receiving threat.

Offensive line is a lot more important than receivers imo

Drew Brees wouldn't have been able to even see the receiver.

You mean the Michael Oher/UDFA/Ryan Kalil/3rd round draft choice/UDFA OL Carolina is using?

1) Best dual threat QB in the NFL
2) 2nd in the NFL in touchdowns
3) Leads a top 5 scoring offense with an awful supporting cast
4) 13-0
5) Maximum Jimmie Rustling ability

Cam Newton for MVP

Legit question, 4th and inches would you rather have Brady or Cam running the ball.

+1 Can you imagine this board if they go undefeated and win a super bowl?

I won't argue that. He is a midget.

Drafted position doesn't really say anything. Damn that Jahri Evans guy. Having a 5th rounder means he's gonna be terrible. Same with Armstead, Nicks, Strief, etc, etc, etc. That's just examples from the saints. If that's all you have, rather than their actual play...

Panthers offensive line coming together is a big reason they were able to turn it around last year and a big reason they've been great this year.

quote:

Fast forward to this year and the Panthers have found some young building blocks to build around center Kalil, who is the only starter to return from this offensive line at the start of last year. The group ofAndrew Norwell, Trai Turner and Mike Remmers all became starters towards the end of the season and there was some signs of what this offensive line could become. The only major question mark this offseason was at left tackle and the team brought in Michael Oher.

Over the first four weeks of this season, the Panthers' offensive line has played very well as mentioned above being rated second best overall in the NFL. This starting five has a cumulative rating of 11.5, which is a 41.8 point swing from the beginning of 2014, and only allowed 4 sacks. Meanwhile, right tackle Remmers has not given up a sack since being named the starter in Week 12 of last year, which is a streak of 11 consecutive games.

Absolutely true.

What I find funny though is now Oher is a "big reason" (no pun intended) that the Carolina OL is solid. Prior to the season, you couldn't find ANYTHING positive said about that signing, in this forum or in the sports media at large, outside of Carolina fans being "hopeful".

I thought Oher was going to be awful for Carolina. I'd say most people thought the same, including Panther fans that thought Oher was going to get Cam killed.

Their line has played really well.

He has 35 fricking touchdowns with one of the worst offensive supporting cast in the NFL. This is one of the best seasons ever by a QB

It should be between Cam and Palmer with Brady a close third. Dalton was a somewhat distant 4th but now that he's hurt he's out obviously.
