He might look pretty bad with Anthony Lynn running his offense for him

Unless he's physically ruined he's good enough to be an overpaid average QB.

I have no idea about what their contract situation but it seems like they have most of the core pieces locked up through the next two years right? Unless I'm wrong it seems like they can continue to be competitive as long as their guys don't fall off. And mcvay is a wizard as well

They’ll still never get by the Chiefs. And when/if it’s not the Chiefs, it’ll be the Bills.

They’re lucky they’re in the NFC though. That side sucks arse and has none of the top young QBs.

I actually don’t think this is that crazy. Maybe a little crazy.

Goff is:

A) Bad
B) Basically all that’s standing between them and a possible Super Bowl run, and
C) has a contract that is (almost) impossible to get off of.

Their window is now.

Great haul for the Lions, and Stafford is going to flourish playing in that offense. Win for both teams.

I wonder if Detroit is going to try and trade Goff before the draft. He obviously isn't the long term answer there.

What is the cal hit to the Rams? I can’t remember the full details of Goff’s huge contract, but all of his signing bonus will now be placed on this year’s cap if I am not mistaken.

I wonder how this impacts a potential Deshaun trade, you gotta wonder if Houston now can ask for much more

I don't think so. I think the Rams had to give up an additional 1st to get the Lions to take Goff's contract off the books.

The rams have the defense to beat the Chiefs. They're good QB play from being dominant.

So. If I’m right.

The Rams have no 1st and 4th and 5th this year.

No first and 4th in 2022.

No first in 2023.

And no third round pick in one of those years.

It’s the Texans. They will settle for 2 seconds and Crab legs.

That mostly same D sans Jalen Ramsey got shite fricked by Mahomes to the tune of 51 points and almost 600 yards on an off night from Pat.

If I’m the Texans I DEFFINITLY don’t ever trade Watson at this point. I mean outside of a completely unheard of trade offer you’re going to be the laughing stock compared to this deal.
