Who here still listens to FM radio? In the age of satellite radio, does anyone still listen to local radio?
I love XM radio but I also love the local sports guys like Tim Fletcher. My 12 year old son will be on the Sean Fox show in Ruston and I have been listening to it and its a good show that has enough high school, college and pro talk.
I am sure the wolves of TD will come out and chew me up for this.
All I can say is

Sean Fox and his crew do a fantastic job covering NELA HS sports. Along with Tech, ULM, Grambling and LSU. Talks Saints and Pels as well. He has some ding dong callers but who doesn’t. Fox is as good as it gets imo

Pump the brakes, Fox

North Louisiana does not deserve that quality of coverage it has between Aaron Dietrich, Fox, and Fletcher. Extremely lucky those guys seem to like staying in the smaller market.

I enjoy 99.7 and 105.7 sports talk. Both cover HS football very well, ULM, La Tech, and Grambling, along with LSU and Saints football.

Fletcher
He does well covering local things but that show can be painfully campy to listen to.

Fox is great! Love most of his takes and he is very down to earth with his opinions.

Haven't listened in a while, but while these guys are good...they were equally balanced out by guys like Terry Waldrop who was just an old man grumbling at clouds in between bumper music from Aerosmith and AC/DC. Typical meathead show.

If I could just listen to 15 hours of Charles Hanagriff each week, I would be satisfied.
I have never met Charlie, but I like the honest down to earth analyses that is only CH.
As far as the other 104.9
ESPN hosts, I really am not interested in their content-unless it is breaking news .
I will probably never “get” TBob or Matt. That’s ok. Sometimes you have a favorite host that you connect with and my favorite is CH. I know that I’m not getting comedy or immature takes.

I thought Waldrop's one-hour show was great.
Never thought much of Deitrich, though.

Waldrop is the guy that always thinks he’s the smartest in the room, he’s awful.
