I know the Pokes aren’t world beaters, but they were still a 2-0 power 5 team playing at home. Last week OSU won on the road vs Arizona State.

South was dominant in the first half en route to a 23–0 half time lead. OSU had a 17-play drive that covered the late third - early 4th quarter for their only score of the game.

USA got off to a rough start and overall played poorly against Tulane to open the season. The Greenies would probably be undefeated now if they hadn’t left their QB in to get injured instead of us.

Big win for the Jags.

Kane Womack South Alabama’s HC is a true up and coming star. Very underrated.

Also the game has passed Gundy by.

That is really fricking bad. Just an embarrassing final score to the Sun Belt.

That said, hope they upset Texas and/or OU.

I take your comment as:

If you asked most people before the game who would win this game, probably 75-80% would have said Oklahoma State.

If you told people before the game that the final score would be 33-7, and asked who would win, it would probably be 98% or better in favor of OSU.

Fwiw, the line was USA +7

Also started slow last week.

Yesterday was never in doubt.

I knew South Alabama was pretty good, but I was shocked when I saw that final score. Thorough arse kicking

South AL and Troy were the two favorites to win the SBC West this season. Their opening game vs. Tulane seemed to be a bit of a let down.

I know OK State may not be what they have in the past, but they're still a Big 12 team with 3 times the money/resources of a SBC program like South Alabama, and the Jags went into T Boone Pickens Stadium and completely dominated from the get-go.

I was actually going to start a thread on this when I saw the score. What the hell happened to Okie Lite? Like you said not world beaters but usually pretty solid.

Okie Lite is very bad, USA dominated even the trenches
and OSU was one of my favorites to be a big dog in the new B12, idk now

I believe he is the second longest tenured coach in major college football. Pointed out to a younger member of our watch party last night that he replaced Les Miles at OSU.

“I’m a man, I’m forty!” was in 2007.

Keeping this thread about the Jags, it’s worth noting USA didn’t start football until 2009, with the first FBS season being 2012.

The 26-point win tied the record for South’s largest ever margin of victory in a road win.
