Insane Connor Stalions video from the 2022 Ohio State game.

Stalions tells DC Jesse Minter "run right" on 2nd and 9 for OSU.

Michigan immediately crashes both safeties, leaves the middle of the field wide open, and the Buckeyes run offset to the middle-right

Weird that the consensus here is just whatever the other teams can alter their strategies because one team is cheating. The whole is getting punished for the one, who gets no punishment. Donut scene in FMJ.

I do know that if this was Bama, the rest of the sec would ge calling for their heads

it would be idiotic to think teams have a set of "second-half signals" they use all the time, would beat the point of changing signals. wth is wrong with some of you people. they should be punished for breaking the rules, but this isn't as big a deal as some of you are making it out to be.

Wait, do you think this is simple as a pitcher and catcher changing signs from "one finger fastball, two finger curve, three fingers changeup"?

Wait...you think they just go into the locker room and cook something up?

What's the big deal? Everyone knows exactly what plays their opponents are running...

if they are charging signs week to week then you run the risk of 18-21 year olds screwing up which could lead to sacks/turnovers/ect. They only have 20 hours a week to gameplan and practice with the players, how much of that time are coaches willing to spend going over the new code for the playbook?

If you think the sign stealing is mostly just in game, then you really should not to change up that often.

Then why even try to steal the signs at all?
to make the other team have to change their signals is the main reason. can also catch a team a few times with it, but any descent coach adjusts to this in game. it's just part of what goes on during a game. i can see michigan getting some small advantage to cheating the way they were, but stealing signals is part of the game. it's usually more useful if a team get's their signals stolen and doesn't adjust, still have to stop the other team. it isn't a chess match, just has some elements of one.

we would constantly make jibberish hand signals just about every play. none of it meant anything. we'd have 3 or 4 guys making signals and one of em is the actual caller and that rotates.

The amount of people downplaying this is insane.

They had an elaborate plan to fly all over the country to steal signals.

If its not a big deal, why did UM spend so much money, time and effort to steal the signals?

Ridiculous.

So you think:

1. A program like Ohio State isn't already adjusting in-game.
2. What those assholes did is comparable to stealing signals over the course of a game.

Wait...so you mean what they did was not only ethical, but they actually had an obligation to their fans to do it?

This entire thing would be moot if the NCAA allowed one player on each side of the ball to have a radio in the helmet. It’s 2023, not 1923. Make the change.

So then are there no decent coaches in the B10 or CFP? Cause if any "decent" coach can and does adjust in game, then again whats the point of creating this elaborate sign stealing scheme and invest that much time and money?

I guess my position is this...is this something we actually want to let go and essentially let become legal? Is that what we are favoring...all out cheating? I get it, there will always be some level of coaching trying to gain the upper hand, but this goes WAY beyond that and everybody in the world knows it. This is something the B1G and NCAA needs to come down on hard. Imagine if MLB would have just let what the Astros did just slide? Doing nothing about this opens pandora's box and wouldn't be good for the game. I think that is common sense.
