Update: Sources tell @DanGrazianoESPN and me that a contingent of Jets team officials are scheduled to fly out today to meet in person with Aaron Rodgers.

The Jets appear to be the favorites to land him

quote:

“The Packers believe that Rodgers somewhat checked out on them after signing a three-year, $150.8 million contract extension last March”

quote:

“As one high-level Packers source put it to me recently, the days of begging Rodgers to return on his terms — which was essentially the organization’s approach during each of the previous two offseasons — are over.”

More from the highly Rodgers connected @MikeSilver

If a Rodgers trade is in the works, probably a lot of moving parts beyond what trade compensation.
Issue of how much, if any, of Rodgers $60 million will be paid by the Packers.
The more they pay, the better draft picks they get back.

Because the odds of them finding a 3rd straight franchise-level QB have to be miniscule.

The first step in the path of going from the Packers to the Jets to the Vikings to sending dick pics to misappropriating state funding.

I do like the framing. The Packers are done enabling after they created this monster and fed it for years.

I get the feeling Rodgers is just done with football. But he doesn't know what he wants to do with his life next, and he doesn't want to announce retirement, then regret it a few weeks later, like Favre or Brady.

Hence, he isolates himself in darkness for self-reflection.

Vegas still has LAV as the heavy odds on favorite.

It's very likely Jets or Raiders, but what would be the wildest/most interesting outcome???

Traded to one franchise, and then moved immediately to the Vikings would be funny as hell and awesome to watch. Rodgers would put up video game numbers with that much talent at WR.

Another team that would be very interesting would be the Steelers.

The Carr signing today makes him going to Jets more realistic.
Although I seriously think he takes the trade then decides to retire anyway

I disagree. I watched his interview after he finished his darkness retreat.. doesn’t seem to me like he’s done with football yet

Seems like every starting QB the packers have had for the last 30 years ends up leaving for the Jets

Rodgers loves cock. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

Per sources. Aaron Rodgers and the Jets had conversations today. While nothing is imminent Rodgers is open to the idea of going to NY

Aaron Rodgers has received permission to speak with the #Jets, source confirms. Some due diligence.
