Exactly. Essentially making the OWGR worthless.

I think he leans hard into his “I totally don’t care about anything bro” image but he doesn’t seem to care about golf like the rest of them. He is the poster boy from someone leaving the PGA to get more money and was always going to jump

The PGA is basically a non-profit corporate marketing conglomerate for the largest multinationals in the world. I'd probably not go with the "moral superiority" of the PGA angle.

I agree with you, I think the current pro golf product is pretty damn good. As a fan I wasn’t looking for wholesale changes to it, especially when those changes involve less golf to watch

could see the majors making changes to their qualification system. Can’t cut their nose off to spite their face. If they don’t have the best players in the world competing it’s just another golf tournament.
Mike Whan hinted it would become harder for LIV guys to make majors, not easier

Jay is getting fired. The PGA is falling apart because of his arrogance. Instead of trying to work with the players a year ago, he turned up his nose at them and laughed at their idea of a new league. He sent he paid assassins in the media led by Brandel Chamblee to attack these guys morally, and that’s completely backfired.

Jay has lost. It’s over. Now it’s only a matter of when he gets fired.

However, as a fan of the sport and its history, this makes me sad.

Golf history is golf history. The name of the tour is irrelevant. The majors are independent of the PGA tour.

No one cares about who won the 2019 Rocket Mortgage Classic in Cleveland, OH.

Players are getting offered over 100 million dollars to leave, and the top young talent hs still stayed on Tour. You can hate Jay all you want, but clearly something was done right….

Good plan until you have 8-10 of the top 25 players playing on the LIV tour.

So, that's 2 out of 7 votes.. LIV players are playing in DP Tour event this weekend. The DP Tour decision on Thursday is about the Scottish Open.. I wouldn't expect a "LIV ban". I would bet LIV players will be allowed to play in the scottish open also.

You don’t call Brooks and Morikawa “top young talent”? What about DeChambeau? Hovland?

Brooks is 32. Morikawa and Hovland absolutely, Bryson I wouldn’t say is young but still a massive draw

Until the college all-americans decide to take the millions upfront instead of going to the Korn Ferry

Sounds like Brooks is exercising his freedom of choice. People are free to melt about it but he's breaking no laws and is going to get paid. Life goes on

Don't know why anybody is cheering on LIV. I assume it's the same kind of person that just loves the chaos and to see the world burn. Doesn't affect them so why not enjoy watching the destruction?

These guys going to LIV getting paid more to do less, but once the destruction of the PGA Tour is complete will the paydays continue? Doubtful.

None of this is good for the consumer. LIV doesn't produce better golfers. Actually, it's the opposite. LIV players play less and lack the motivation to get better. In essence, the money and guaranteed make them soft.

Don't know why any American golf fan would want to see a USA based tour destroyed and replaced by a Saudi backed tour.

Agree with this. I also think the LIV players will really struggle in majors, assuming the ban stays in place.

A top 10 player isn’t going to stay top 10 for long if they’re playing way less competitive golf.
