You can think what you want about it, it’s fine. Everyone’s got an opinion. But I think everyone here knows that you couldn’t do it. Fake as it may be, I’d imagine the OP would die the first day/tryout.

Attractive well-endowed muscular men who are all oiled up, and sexy, and probably smell like heaven, something like Brut by Faberge.

Some of you word your thoughts in the weirdest ways...

It's not the wrestling that is gay...it's the way some of you think about it that is.

4/10 Troll Job.

If you had mentioned the sexually androgynous or crossdressing wrestlers, I'd have doubled your score.

Real talk: The actual wrestling takes an incredibly savage level of fitness work that a lot of other sports don't overlap. The major problem is that it's framed like boxing with a World Champion that competes monthly, but they have a weekly (or more often) show that they have to fill with entertainment, but can't use the World Champion too often, so you get a soap opera. Sometimes it's a zombie that came back from the dead to wrestle, sometimes it's a demonic pregnancy that will be aborted because someone got hit.

To be fair, you could probably take any sport and look for the homoeroticism in it if you really wanted to.

I don't watch it but has there ever been a gay character?
That's kind of an interesting question.

A lot of characters have been heavily implied to be gay throughout the history of wrestling, but because of the culture at the time they were simply portrayed as effeminate rather than openly stated to be homosexual (ex. Gorgeous George, Exotic Adrian Street, Golddust).

Mexican wrestling has a category of transvestite wrestlers called exoticos who are often implied to be gay. There have been characters in Japanese wrestling who were either explicitly gay (Danshoku Dino) or hinted to be gay (the Golden Lovers tag team).

There was a storyline in WWE a few years ago where two male characters were implied to be gay, and then the storyline had a twist so that they were only pretending to be gay. They did a lesbian stalker story at the same time with two female talents.

Of course, there have always been gay performers in wrestling, and in the past few years some of the talents (Darren Young, Sonya Deville) have come out as gay and it's been understood that the characters they perform as are also gay although I can't recall it really being incorporated into storylines.

As someone stated earlier, Sonny Kiss is the most obvious example of a modern wrestler where both the performer and the character are acknowledged to be gay on TV. WWE wrestler Austin Theory fits into that category too.

Remember, even the athletes who take part in the legitimate sports you love take showers together. That’s awfully gay.

Most UFC fights feature dry-humping. Some fighters have condom ads on their shorts. Also quite gay.

The center and qb do borderline gay stuff before every snap in football...
