Is he a good quarterback or not? I thought after his first couple years he was gonna be a straight up bust, but now he’s another young qb with a playoff W. Is he quietly turning into a top 10 QB?

He’s a case study in what good coaching and patience can do for talented yet unproven players.

Kinda reminds me of a faster Matt Ryan before Ryan hit his prime. Pretty good on play action and the bootlegs, picks up a lot of first with his legs, plays within himself.

Ryan obviously took a big jump and had a really good career including an mvp season.

I've thought he's a bust for years. But I'll give him credit, he's played well this year. Maybe the light switch has finally flipped on for him. We'll see what kind of offers he gets at the end of the year.

Not always black and white. I would say he's similar to Carr, Cousins, Goff, Mac Jones, and Pickett. Guys that are mostly average but have moments where they play above or even rarely way above average. They don't consistently play at a high level though or in Cousins' case have a clutch gene.

He appears to be a gamer. He’s come along this season.

Better athlete than I thought. He's an average QB but he's shown a lot of improvement compared to his first few years

This.

The NFL, and its owners, GMs and fans are “here and NOW” mentality. And maybe it has to be because of the amount of money invested in these teams and athletes these days.

Daniel Jones actually had a pretty darn good rookie year for a QB, even by today’s no pass defense allowed standard. He seemed to regress years two and three, but now this season has shown more progress.

It took guys like Bradshaw, Stabler, Aikman, and Simms, etc a few years to figure things out and be able to deliver consistently. And especially like Bradshaw, Aikman and Simms, Daniel Jones had to start with a team that doesn’t have much of a supporting cast, and he’s on his 3rd head coach in 4 seasons.

He appears to be a dude who plays with a ton of heart and guts. He shoved Patrick Peterson aside on one of his runs.

Didn't look average yesterday.

His WRs however are extremely average.

The problem is they hire pure dogshit coaches and expect great results. The last few seasons have proven the value of coaching young QBs. Look how bad Trevor Lawrence looked before Pederson. Look how Mac Jones played with McDaniel vs Patricia. Look at Tua with Mike McDaniels vs the year before. It makes one wonder what QBs were given up on too early. A good coach can make an average QB look good. But a bad coach can make an average QB look like a bum.

Seems to be turning into a poor man’s version of Josh Allen.

That was my exact assessment of him when watching the game yesterday. As long as he avoids the mistakes that Allen seems prone to, he should be a decent quarterback going forward. Jones played real well yesterday.

The Vikings defense yesterday would make any quarterback look good. Nothing against Jones, but I would not be quick to judge yesterday’s game as an indicator of growth.

He’s one of the best running QBs in the nfl and he hasn’t turned the ball over this year. Giants coaching staff did an amazing job letting him run more.

Jones is improving and has become the kind of quarterback the Giants have won with in the past.

I like their chances of knocking off the Eagles. He's beaten them in 2 of his last 3 starts and only lost the game before that 22-21 in Philly.

If Jalen Hurts isn't 100% they're ripe for an upset.

No one has a worse group in the league.

I’d be happy with Jones as my QB.
