If I’m a NFL owner / GM . I’m taking Pavia as my first pick if he’s available

I think he’ll be a great NFL QB if he gets better receivers

Taking a 25 year old 5’8 qb that can’t throw would certainly be something.

I like Simpson a lot. I'd like to see him stay at Bama and not declare until 2027

Simpson is a 1Rd guy given the other QBs I’ve seen so far.

Who are you taking over him right now?

Carson Beck has thrown 3 beautiful deep balls in the first quarter of the game tonight.

I think some teams are going to investigate why Beck left UGA and drop him on their boards when they find out.

Heard a scout say Mateer is moving up boards because he reminds people a lot of Mayfield

Will run through a wall and makes smart decisions just a natural leader. Midway through his senior year most people thought Mayfield was a mid third or fourth.

In a weak class I could see Mateer going top 5

You decline in your 30s, so he's out.

Unfortunately, there's no patience in the NFL so these players get thrown to the wolves when they're not ready

This.

Rodgers was allowed to sit for three years, then went 6-10 his first season as a starter, but he exploded after that. It took Brees his fourth season to really break at. SD actually drafted Rivers after Brees’s third season thinking Drew just wasn’t it. Then Rivers got the luxury of sitting behind Brees for two years.

These guys, even the first round picks, can’t all be expected to be Marino and Burrow slinging it like a seasoned pro right out the gate.

Are we talking about just draft-ready QBs?

Those guys all came up before the rookie wage scale was introduced. After the rookie wage scale, a QB is never more valuable than he is in his first five years in the league.

Will sign as a FA with all 32 teams over the next 6 years and then go play for the grey cup in Canada.
