Well, Ronaldo is the greatest of all time in his sport. LeBron isn’t top 5 of all time in his sport.

That photo makes me laugh. Ronoldo is the best player in the world over 5+ top leagues; England Italy Germany Spain France. That’s not even counting other top leagues around the world. There are more players on each team and less teams per league. 2500 top flight players or so just in those leagues. 500 in The NBA. So Ronaldo is at least 1/2500 and Lebron is 1/500.

I don't know how this is a good way to look at it.

The talent drop off after 1000, much less 2000 makes those dudes irrelevant compared to a Lebron or Ronaldo.

Well, to be fair since you're counting other leagues in other countries for soccer. You should do the same for Basketball. There's plenty of other countries where they have professional basketball leagues. LeBron is better than any player in any of them.

Freddy Adu is broke I think.
I wouldn't call him a superstar. He had a lot of hype at a young age, but never played more than 11 games for one team outside of the United States. He just turned 29 and is with Las Vegas in the 2nd division. It's been 7 years since he was last even connected to a decent team in Europe.

There have been various articles on that subject over the years. I don't know when it is going to happen, but when it does it will be amazing to watch.

It’s almost going to have to be the US’s version of David Beckham. Insanely attractive and personable/marketable to go with on the field skills. Sad, but true.

If he's on a Messi/Ronaldo level and is dominating internationally in the premiere league or Serie A or some shite? Marquee global icon on Team USA?

Absolutely.

These contracts look even more interesting when being compared to MLB contracts.

Nope. Because he’s not going to be a global phenom.

Pulisic isn’t a superstar. Not even close. He may be a superstar to Americans, but he’s average at best in Europe.

Idiotic comparison of titles.

Cristiano ha won 5 CL titles which are more important that league titles.

His total title count is much higher than 5.

Exactly. Comparing James to CR7 is a slap in the face to CR7

Lebrun is underpaid. Just like nick Saban. The value they bring to their employers and respective sports pales in comparison to their compensation

Not even a subtle troll here. You just went for it, Paul, and for that I applaud you.

Huh? He's considered one of the top 15 U21 players in the world.

Transfermarkt has him listed as the 91st most valuable player in the world and the 2nd most valuable teenager.

There are 5 "NBA" level leagues in soccer, so for Ronaldo to be the best player in the world, he is the best in 5 leagues that you could argue are all the best. The NBA is one league, and the drop off after the NBA is huge
