Texas would have gotten the #4 seed over FSU? I don't believe that for a second.

You shouldn’t. This wasn’t even a discussion until Bama won.

Having said that, I feel like Bama is an objectively better team than FSU without their starting quarterback. It was going to suck either way.

Probably not.

They had to put Texas in to get Bama in.

FSU: Undefeated with 2 top 15 wins
Texas: One loss with 1 top 15 win

There’s no honest debate to be had.

No they wouldn't have. FSU would be the 4 seed. 100%.

Here’s the thing:

You HAVE to put in an undefeated P5 champ.

You HAVE to put in a 12-1 SEC champ who has the most top 15 wins, only loss was to one-loss team, and who knocked off GA in Atlanta.

You do not HAVE to put in a one-loss Big 12 champion.

Everyone became obsessed with the result of one game in September and lost their minds like a bunch of women.

That’s a really good question

If Georgia wins

Georgia
Michigan
Washington
FSU

When Bama won

Michigan
Washington
Texas
Alabama.

That is what they should ask the committee. But ESPN and the committee are both bought and paid for.

That doesn’t matter. Why even play the regular season if the most deserving teams don’t get in?

I would like to know if Auburn had beaten Bama and not shite the bed then Bama turns around and beats UGA, does the committee keep UGA in at 4 over FSU, or do they drop to 5 and UT and FSU get in.

I mean nothing about FSU has changed in that situation except UGA isn’t a conference champ.

People really need to stop using the term “objective” incorrectly. “Better team” is not something that can be measured objectively. An objective measurement is how many wins/losses someone has, not who conventional wisdom may deem as better or worse. Not trying to single you out, but the word “objective” has begun be used as an unintelligent way to bolster subjective opinions of things

Texas was bootstrapped.

ESPN wanted the SEC champ in so bad...

But they had to bring Texas along to even remotely justify their corruption.

How can you say this after watching Alabama v. Auburn? You can’t. It’s a bias because Alabama has been good for so long.

I understand what you are saying, but I think there’s plenty of objective ways to measure performance in CFB. However, I don’t care to sit here and argue those point by point with anyone.

To those bringing up the Auburn game, Alabama has also looked really fricking impressive against some really good/great teams.

But that’s not what happened today. The committee’s spokesperson literally said FSU is being left out because their QB is hurt.

That was just a convenient excuse.

And this is exactly why they use “best four teams” as their measure, having a subjective measurement allows them to be logically inconsistent and get the result they want.
