I hate Bayless but he said some thing yesterday that I think most sensible people would agree with>

He said that one of the best reasons for Kiffin leaving for USC was that the SEC was tougher than the PAC 10 could ever hope to be.

Funny how that has become such a stark reality--even to clowns like Bayless.

Yet some still refuse to accept the fact.

As long as PAC 10 teams continue to beat SEC teams there's room for debate.

Even in years when the SEC wins more (2-1 last season) the games are almost always very tight.

SEC > PAC 10

Adding Kifftard only hurts you worse.

Tennessee is a great program, but it does not quite compare to USC as far as prestige and tradition.

I highly doubt he left because he was afraid of the big bad SEC. He didn't do too badly this year in conference.

I think its pretty obvious he left for USC because it was his dream job after coaching there and he has little to no concern for the people of Tennessee.

And he jumped from maybe the 5th best job in the SEC to probably the best job in the PAC 10

4 Straight BCS titles

In Total:
SEC - 6
Everyone else - 6

While we're on the subject, who was the last PAC 10 team, other than USC, to win the National Championship anyway?

No there really isn't. I am no sec homer, but come on

as far as kiffns reason for leaving goes. Well let's face it, the longer he stayed at UT the less likely he was going to ever get an offer this good again. Not because the SEC is so tough, but because he's pretty much a fraud.

Monte will probably give him 3 more years max, and if USC is successful he'll likely try and parlay that into another NFL gig.

Not really. Have someone else in your league win a BCS title. Hell win more than one yourself. Hell just have someone else get to the title game. Don't bring that stupid bullcrap in here.
Your "best" team this year got pounded by a very flawed Ohio State team.

The so-called emergence of the Pac 10 as a power conference this season was a myth created by the media in attempting to save face when their annual USC suck fest went south.

Pretty sure USC is the only PAC-10 team to win the AP title.
