Tennessee just needs UGA to beat LSU and USC to lose another.

This is how I feel, too.

TN's second best win will top Michigan's first
TN's loss will likely be slightly better than Michigan's, assuming Georgia remains ranked #1, which they should.

. It's just that a lot of teams have had their starting quarterbacks go down for two or three games and get knocked off when they have to go to their backup. K-State, Texas, KU, and OSU have all lost games when they have been without their starting quarterback.

Pretty sure Howard is a better QB than Martinez.

TCU is not one of the 4 best teams, but they would be in the playoff. We’ve all seen this movie before. It happened last year with Cincinnati.
It is what it is. You could see them in and Tennessee sitting at home.

Based on?

They have a senior led team, and some real firepower on offense. Great QB/RB/WR tandem.

They will lose by at least 20 points in the playoff game. Book it.

TCU-Texas 17-10 (and it wasn't that close)
Alabama-Texas 20-19 (and Bama got outplayed)

I hope the committee actually watches the games.

If they go undefeated. ABSOLUTELY.

Think of it this way. If this was a Oklahoma or Texas undefeated squad, no one would question that they deserve to be in the playoffs

This isn't 2006 and people questioning Boise State's undefeated record.

TCU is a respected brand and have won a Rose Bowl.

I don't know why OP is treating them like some MAC team.

There would be no justification to leave them out if they go undefeated. Unless the committee just wants 2-loss Bama in there again...even though they beat dumpster fire A&M by 4 points.

Crying about TCU, but don’t call out how soft the SEC West is. LSU making the championship after losing to a terrible FSU team is hilarious to watch.

Big Ten sucks this year too but nobody is questioning OSU or Michigan.

I have been. It's pathetic.

If TCU goes undefeated they better be in. Because we all know if that name is Texas or Oklahoma there's no question they're in.

I hate hypocrisy.

They won’t do it but, if LSU can beat UGA, 3 SEC teams should get in along with the Big10 champ.

TCU would have at least 3 losses in the SEC. They’re about on par with Florida.

the Big 12 is way down this year.

They really aren't when you look at the other leagues.

I actually think the Big XII gets unfairly shite on. Top to bottom, they've had more parity than anyone in recent years, which is why they don't look as impressive; everyone beats up on each other.

That's why even the best OU teams would get caught by someone, and the worst KU teams would hang with Texas. They don't have elite teams, but they have some damn solid ones.

The Big 12 doesn’t have any bad teams which makes the league a little tougher than it gets credit for.

I feel like all other conferences have teams that are a cake walk, and the Big 12 doesn’t have any of those.

Oh yeah, that will be a ratings gangbuster along the lines of NASCAR. You know how big this country is?

Going to superconferences, we should just have regional champs in all 4 quadrants of the nation compete in the Final Four.

Marginalizing this sport to a certain region has not been healthy as ratings have never been lower.

They will be ahead of the OSU/MICH loser.

Maybe depends on the score, committee may not want a rematch of a game that was a domination

If they were named Bama they'd be in.

The big 12 is not down. OU fell off, Iowa state is garbage, and WVU is a clusterfrick that no one can predict, but other than that, the top teams are just beating up on each other. TCU is the only one that has been able to escape, and honestly, they're a damn good team.

I watch most sec and big 12 games. The sec at the top is unmatched, but after georgia, the conferences are almost identical this year.
