You are of course ignoring the three ALCS where Judge did nothing and they lost. You are also trying to find truth and fairness in judging 5-7 game sample sizes of baseball statistics

My entire point is it’s always been ridiculous to make sweeping claims over small postseason numbers yet it has always been done except for Ohtani

The media handles him differently than any superstar I have seen. I couldn’t imagine if the betting thing happened with anyone else. It went away like a fart in the wind meanwhile the media still talks about some of the Astros players like the murdered a baby

Judge’s struggles in October became a thing in 2022 after several postseasons of it. I’m not old enough to remember when it became a thing with Bonds, just when he changed it in 2002, but I am guessing it took a few years. Even in today’s media it takes a little bit for a narrative to build.

I do think the baseball media collectively understands how important he is to the game as a whole because of how unique a talent he is. But if he had been bad this October and the Dodgers lost (very important part of this) I bet it would have been talked about. The losing part is also what has gotten Judge, which of course isn’t fair.

Altuve was fricking horrible the entire 2022 postseason and absolutely nobody talks about it because they won a title, and he will go down as one of the great clutch performers in baseball history.

At this point he is different than any superstar you’ve seen.

The dodgers are about to ask Shohei Ohtani to pick the ball and pitch 6-7 innings less than 24 hours after he reached base 9 times in a game.

If Shohei delivers on the mound tonight we aren’t just watching the best baseball post season but maybe the best championship performance ever in American sports.

Imagine a pitcher winning 4 MVPs but no Cy Youngs

because he is one of the if not the greatest hitter of all time and while an elite pitchers he has only ever pitched enough to even qualify for Cy Young 1 time.

and that’s one of the points I make in the GOAT concersationZ

can you out him over Barry Bonds because he pitches? He missed 23 starts in 18, all of 19, 10 starts in 20, 22, 23 all of 24 and 30+ starts in 25.

He’s an undeniably great pitcher when he pitches but he has missed 2/3 of his starts.

No doubt for me. If you can start a team with one player why would you take anyone else?

Backyard baseball - Ohtani pitching to Prime Bonds and Prime Bonds pitching to Ohtani, who wins?

The Dodgers are going into game 4 with better rest because their DH who just reached base 9 times out of 9 is going to chew up some innings on the mound. This cannot be understated.
