I’ve wondered how Shaq in his 2000 NBA body could have fared in the NFL. Not sure what position, maybe TE or DE.

As others said, he was roughed up big time for college and NBA.

I wonder if he isn’t a LT if he had to play. I think he was tired of getting hit in the knees.

He’s mobile

He was. The only person that is even comparable is Wilt Chamberlain. Wilt ran track at Kansas. He was a true freak.

Shaq has been honest about how he basically ate whatever he want and never hit the gym back then. Imagine if he'd taken care of himself like Lebron has.

Too tall for the lines, not fast enough to be a TE except maybe on the goal line

Only thing he could maybe do was be DT in a 4-3 and he’d have to come off on third down

Jokic plays in Denver with Jamal Murray and Aaron Gordon.

Shaq played with Kobe in an era where the talent in the league was not good at all. Not to take anything away from Shaq, but just ring counting is stupid.

The original post is correct though Jokic and Shaq aren’t in the same league, Jokic could end up top 5 all time

He changed the way other teams constructed their rosters and played the game. Guys like Duncan, KG, Sheed and other would’ve been centers in any other era but they couldn’t guard Shaq so teams had to draft unskilled, oversized players to use at Center so those guys could stay on the floor. There’s never been anyone like him.

Tim Duncan played as many seasons as Shaq, won more all around and was a better overall player for much longer.

According to your generation Kobe wasn’t all that so naturally that should boost Shaq’s profile all-time…

Prime giant Shaq was so physically dominant that he was playing a different game than anybody else in the history of basketball.

With the way he bullied guys and pushed them around on offense he could have fouled out every game if the refs had chosen to call it differently. It really was Shaq rules.

When he stopped playing is when I started losing interest in the nba.

It wasn’t immediate, but I didn’t have a player I really liked and my team for a period by default was the Lakers.

Problem with freaks of nature, they tend to be lazy.

What could've been if he didn't have to work his way into shape until January.

Its why the Lakers sided with Kobe's frustration and traded Shaq.

If Shaq didn't party all off-season (what's up Doc?), he could've been the best Center ever.

Not much different than modern “load management”… NBA before Christmas has always been on the back burner

Kobe is severely overrated but, even then, nobody is putting Jamal Murray anywhere close to Kobe.
