What a bizarre trade. Even the first round pick that Dallas is getting is several years down the road. Makes no sense.

They don’t wanna give him the super max because he doesn’t care about conditioning.

I think it’s karma for Mark Cuban being such a liberal cuck, and now he has no say in the organization

We now have absolutely 0 interior defense. I guess Jaxson moves up to the starting role with Kleber? This team is going to give up 130 a game. Meanwhile you gotta think LeBron had input on this, the self proclaimed basketball savant can’t think this is a logical deal

Outside of SA which was gifted an alien, every good talent always migrates to LA, MIA, or NY. This league will never grow.

The Lakers just got a 25 year old generational talent and centerpiece for the post-LeBron years for a 32 year old AD, a young bench piece and one (1) first round pick.

I am flabbergasted. This is like the Gasol deal on steroids lmao

Most bizarre and worst trade in NBA history. Mavs just destroyed their franchise.

Maybe Luka told the Mavs he wasn’t signing an extension with them

Imagine being a 28 year old bro in Dallas who splits season tickets with his buddies and is a diehard Luka fan.

Would be a top 5 worst moment in your life

Does AD give the Mavs a better chance to win a championship over the next 2 years than Luka?

Will Luka EVER win a championship?

This makes zero sense. Must be something happening in Dallas that we don’t know. They just ruined their franchise.

The only thing I can think of is that Luka would be a free agent in Summer 2026 if he didn’t agree to an extension. Perhaps Dallas didn’t think they would be resigning him, so they felt it was best to trade him now while they could get something that they feel could help them now?
