The ND hate here, I don't get it. That's a good football team. Yeah, I'd like to see them go back to the gauntlet schedules they used to have, but the ACC agreement hamstrings them with whatever they give them and USC went chicken shite on them and bailed.

ND lost to NIU and owned the SEC Champ in the same season. Your conference isn’t what it once was.
1) ND will beat Miami and be 12-0. (The MSECB will act like it’s not a big win at that point.)
2) None of this really matters bc we have a playoff.
3) The SEC hasn’t even made the championship game in the past 3 seasons. Six participants. Zero from the SEC. Absolutely pathetic.

The problem is Notre Dame believes they are worthy of the special treatment they get.
Yearly hype? Check.
A favorable schedule? Check.
High preseason rank? Check.
Obviously some years they deserve to be there (semis or finals) but most years they are the overhyped machine because of name brand only.
They're pretty much handed a great opportunity at the start and have to really frick up bad to lose two or more games.

They literally don’t control 2.5 of those things.
Wisconsin beat Penn State today. They realistically should finish 9-3 at worst and be another top 25 team.
ND will finish with 4 P4 top 25 wins and still get lambasted for a “soft schedule.”

Yes. Miami isn’t as good as last year, the game is in South Bend, and it’s not Carr’s first career start.
Now it’s college football so they can slip up against someone random like BC in between Miami and SMU, but since the Northern Illinois embarrassment it feels like Freeman has done a great job of having the team ready to play for all of their games, ironically except BC last season.

Sorry, dog - we’re not sneaking into shite this year. This is one of the best teams in the country and at very worst a top 2 defense in the country with UGA and more likely the single best defense in the country with 3 - 4 first rounders. Oh yea, we also have a top 5 overall pick at QB. Almost forgot about him.
Sorry you haven’t adjusted to the new reality - seems to be a you problem. A bunch of pretty good but not great SEC teams beat up on each other all year only to run into genuine machines in the playoffs, just like the last few years. Sorry that you all are poor and can’t afford the truly elite rosters.

Your conference only became something because you and the media conspired to bring about transfer portal with NIL to kill SEC rosters and outright buy them.
That worked to give you dominance for a couple years but seems the SEC has figured it out and caught right back up.
The irony is it's your conference that isn't today what it was the last three years. Look at how badly B1G teams have performed. Only team worth a damn is OSU and Indiana and we can all see Indiana isn't what they were last year and OSU just got beat by a Texas team which would get boatraced by UGA

Well, they beat my Tigers twice in bowl games with IMHO lesser talented rosters both times so - not sure if you consider bowl games when teams tried still to be post season, if it is some might consider that success?

ND is a great example of what happens to a brand when you don't play big games. No one cares about ND football anymore. They don't have near the national following that they used to have.
