I don't think it was a conspiracy. Wisky doesn't foul, so they naturally had very few to start the game. As the game went on, they noticed they hadn't called any on Wisky so they got whistle happy galore. Then, the last two huge atrocious out of bounds calls happen that led to 5 Duke points in a tie game. So naturally, it looks bad

getting players to listen is the hard part
I used to do this all the time while playing. Attack specifically to just get a foul. Its part of basketball.

Nah John you and salmon would be the best coaches in Ncaa history. Recruit fast guards and tell them to draw fouls. Seems foolproof
