Maybe I'm an outlier and a grumpy old guy, but I absolutely hate the modern running shoe with the super thick midsole. They look like corrective shoes and I'm always afraid I'm going to break an ankle.

quote:in order for a marathon to be record eligible the finish has to be within a certain distance of the start. While not perfect it helps account for things like wind and drop off from start to finish (which also factors in separately for record consideration).
Absolutely flying. With all the records falling this had to be wind aided or something.

Probably needs investagating. Not really posible for the human body to do this naturally!

The human body is insane. That pace would basically me running all out for a 400m.

Very Lance Armstrong-y these results

This has been a couple years in the making. They just got the perfect conditions to go do it today.
Posted on 4/26/26 at 4:20 pm to Pedro
All I’m saying is cycling and distance running are very similar human body exertion and Lance got results from oxygenating his blood in a way that would certsinly benefit distance runners

All I’m saying is this has been a long time coming if you pay attention to the sport. Word Athletics has been cracking down hard on doping as well. If they were doing it, we’d know by now.
