Those look really good.
It’s the brown jersey that I’m afraid of

You are confusing them with the Marlins. The Padres draw quite well and have been middle of the pack attendance wise the last few seasons. They have a great ballpark in a great location. It will be a tough ticket ina few years when they are contending again.

I've read that they'll also have a pinstripe white jersey for home. But the brown and yellows are a lock. They're awesome and unique to San Diego

Big fan of those. 80’s/90’s style baseball uniforms are the best

They don’t draw well. Tickets sold and butts in seats are way different

There is a lot of $$$ in SD so I’m sure they sell plenty of season tickets but actual attendance is around 10k a game

I like the move..to me the Taco Bell look of the Padres is their signature look. They never looked “right” in the blue and orange pinstripes or those blue things they have worn recently.

Good idea to combine the modern lettering with the retro colors and brining in the pinstripes.

Hideous....

Baseball talk about up speeding up games but not ending worthless franchises like the Padres. The league is diluted. Slim it up a bit and distribute the talent and games will be more exciting.

Kinda surprised, coming from a Mizzou fan, with yellow as a primary color.

The article says they conducted a fan research poll and Padres fans overwhelmingly wanted the browns back. If anything, they're unique and no other team has anything like them.

It’s not like “fans” of Mizzou had a choice in the color change.

I’m also a Cardinals fan, and they have one of the best uniforms across sports period.

Padres? Meh. But if it gets them away from that camo shite, I guess that’s improvement.

I hope they pick up the old school font also. Good choice to go back to that color scheme.

Astros did a similar switch back and it was well received.

They do that because SD has a big USN presence in and around the city. It’s not the greatest looking jerseys but for the reason they do it, It is pretty cool.

If you want to talk about worthless franchises, you don’t start with San Diego. You start in the state of Florida.
