No, I would say it’s unique. I never understood why they left the Brown, Yellow, and Orange color scheme for fricking bland arse blue. The hat they wear now looks like the Dodgers. Why change from a unique color scheme to one of your division rivals colors which 80% of the MLB has as a color? When you see these uni’s you’ll know who it is playing. Has nothing to do with retro, even though it will remind me of my youth. Great move Padres.

One of a kind. I still remember when they went to blue and orange all those years ago. It's been well over 25 years since they got rid of the brown. Too many blue unis and theirs was just blah, great move !

My sentiments exactly, well stated. Yeah, let's keep another blue uniform w/ no character. The Padres had those colors b/c their owner, Ray Kroc, was the founder of McDonald's. They are unique and one of a kind in sports.

I don’t know or care what you’ve heard for the last 15 years but the Padres haven’t had a farm system like this in a long time. They are loaded. And they are starting to spend some money. They signed Eric Hosmer last year and the newest rumor yesterday is that they are going to make a play at Harper or Machado.
Also, the brown uniforms look clean as hell.
