That wasn’t the only missed call all night. Or through the playoffs. You had bad things go your way and your HOF QB had the ball with the opportunity to win it and threw a pick.
It sucks.
It sucks.

The Rams held the WRs and roughed the passer on that INT. The Saints were never going to win that game. The NFL needs LA in the Super Bowl to help a fan base because there is 5billion invested. It's as simple as that and anyone that thinks otherwise doesn't watch much NFL football.
Now the question is does the NFL gift them the trophy after that debacle, or does Brady go out with a bang?

You mean when the WR was, once again, grossly interfered with, Drew got hit with two hands to the face, and no call was made for eithe foul? I guess that was the Saints fault too? Keep blaming the Saints for the NFL/Refs incompetence. The anti-Saints rhetoric on this board has gotten embarrassing.

Yes, we know.
Look, Saints fricking up multiple times and the refs blowing the call that would send us to the SB are both true.
You can also look at each, individually, in a vacuum. Because you have a functioning brain.
One doesn’t have to be false for the other to be true. Crazy stuff, I know.
Some of you people have the intellect of a doorknob. Saints fans who keep pushing this idiotic narrative included.

The MSB has officially passed the politard board for the highest number of idiots.
The hot takes about the woulda coulda shoulda for the Saints have been low IQ and you should be ashamed for it.
Bottom line is the Saints should be in the Super Bowl.

This is the lamest argument in sports.
Yes the Saints could've made one play and won the game.
The Rams also could've made some plays and not have it come down to a blatant PI.
The fact is, when 2 teams who are so evenly matched play, it usually comes down to one or a handful of plays. Most people believed this game was going to come down to a last second FG or the like. When that happens every play at the end of the game increases exponentially in magnitude, and one single play can be the difference between winning and losing.
The Saints actually DID make the plays necessary to win if the rules were implemented properly, but they weren't. That's the problem. Yes they could've made ANOTHER one, but in a game like this you shouldn't be required to win twice.

“All the saints had to do was score more points than the Rams. I don’t see a problem here.”< sarcasm font>
I mean, who cares that the other team has the same objective and at the most critical timeS the refs failed to do their job.
If the refs don’t affect the game why are they there ?
What you fools are doing is confusing coach speak with reality. Coaches say we can’t leave it in their hands, in reality sometimes both teams are evenly matched and critical calls determine Super Bowl participants.

the rules were implemented just fine. it was a judgement call

I didn't realize that the NFL was in the liquor production business.

Brady gets in the same OT situation and the whole sports world wants to change the OT rules because that’s not fair But Brees gets the same opportunity and can’t get it done.

Let's you and I play a game and we'll just keep continuing the game until I take the lead then the game ends with me as the winner.

Doesn’t matter what happened in ot, and you know it doesn’t matter. It’s tough to beat a team twice, it’s especially tough to win a game twice

i said it when we were kicking field goals in the red zone. you don't win an NFC Championship game with field goals and everyone knows that.

well, luckily you don't have to beat a team twice. just have to beat them once. your team beat them zero times.

My god
We were literally winning after the first quarter, and the Rams literally won after kicking a field goal in the red zone
Posted on 1/23/19 at 5:21 pm to NawlinsTiger9
my god
and what happened after that?
someone had to win
i'm not shedding many tears for Brees or Payton or participating in the farce of demanding a replay or shite like that. i'm smarter than that and our bandwagon fans are idiots. we were the better team, and had already beat them once, and had them at home.
i do feel like it was Brees's last best shot. he will keep regressing and hopefully we trade up for a QB in the draft.

Pretty clear the Pats would smoke the Saints in the SB anyways. Brees couldn't hack it and they can't finish. Refs did them a favor. All of us a favor, really by offering up a matchup with a better chance to be competitive
