Any competitive team cheats. Yea more do in the SEC bc there are more good teams, but USC, Oregon, Ohio st. Ect are just as guilty. shite you think Oklahoma State just all of a sudden made Stillwater somewhere recruits wanna go without some kind of underhand deals?
This isn't news at all, if Saban was doing something other school weren't everyone would be bitching about it. This guy sounds mad, oh yea, he sure be mad

Yet we live in this bi-polar hypocritical world of selective scrutiny and disparate punishment.

I think the more reasoned fans wish the NCAA would finally say...screw it. Same as it ever was.

dont believe it; i know firsthand that one program who constantly gets accused of cheating never does...

one would think after years of accusations "that collegiate players are getting paid" that multiple ppl would come forward eventually; there has to be a ton of disgruntled former players right...?

It's like the Cold War. Each side has missiles pointed at each other. No one is going to rat another team out for fear or reprisal.

Auburn and Bama could destroy each others programs.

If this off-the-cuff comment is the only scrutiny the SEC is getting, sounds like they're doing something right.

i don't really know what else the SEC can ask for in this ongoing SEC-Big10 morality battle

Bought by agents? The same agents that say they have a dirt on Saban?

I think you can only control in-house at the University. This heightened compliance that you have to monitor all and every OUTSIDE source of funds or corruptible influences on these athletes who are commodities for the Pros is a ridiculous burden that seems overly-selective.

Face it...it's not about breaking rules...it's just about getting caught. And we'll play this game forever if it remains simply about athlete benefits instead of control over what you can control.

Which makes Yahoo Sports the biggest thorn in the side of the NCAA.

In CFB?

From Rockne to now Paterno. The Saints were never saints. The past is a myth and the amateur athlete a phantom.

USC fans are still pissed that Bush cost them their only real National Title in a lifetime.

From reading this board, I thought Clemson was the only school paying their players.

They lost out on a big recruit to VT today. Guess VT must be paying more than Clemson now.

And saw the #1 recruit in the US may be taking some visits now to the dismay of the Clemson coaching staff. Guess Clemson isn't paying him enough either.

Under oath his players would say they were being paid... That's they he and others big time schools..particularly in the SEC,operate...I know...I was involved

Who ever said we don't pay players? You gotta pay the price to be the best. Anyone with a real damn program cheats. Why is this still news to people?

Every major school plays for players

Clemson is making this very obvious this year in recruiting

Let's take this guy at his word for the sake of argument. I assume you aren't arguing USC is a small time school? I feel like maybe the guy to flame the board with this story would be like a Northwestern or a BYU fan.

That's funny coming from a USCw fan.

Not accused of pay for play in the investigation.

If you think Kiffin and Orgeron are cleaning up in the national recruiting game on the strength of their winning personalities you have the optimist of a saint.

In SEC circles Kiffin and Orgeron were regarded as the dirtiest recruiters in the conference
