Why reward the bum arse, controversial player by releasing him for potentially bad behavior?

So you would punish him by giving him a roster spot for 4 more years?

Keep his arse on practice squad.
Has Sanders actually done anything controversial in Cleveland? Outside of him mocking Rex Ryan?

Also, what good does that do for Cleveland? Why do you want to keep, pay, and roster (in a sport with limited roster spots, each being as valuable as the next) a player as a punishment? Because the 60 year old NFL fans don't like his dad? How does that help your team win games or bring cohesion to a locker room?

Like do you see how stupid that logic is?

my first thought was "I thought the Haslams were the owners, Ryan Clark must be an owner to make that kind of demand."
Reading comments above, I still don't know who Mr. Clark is, but he must have done something to have earned people's time to attend to what he says.
Or not.

RC's actual point is that Shadeur SHOULD be starting but Stefanski "don't mess with him"
But that's not what he said at all.

He said it's Stefanski's team, it's his decision to make, and Stefanski doesn't "mess with him" as the outside public thinks he should. Everything there is accurate. This is the actual quote
quote:

“Clearly you’re playing for development, and it’s not to develop Shedeur as a future starter on your team. Too much comes with him if you don’t see him as a future starter of your team.”

"You have to understand with Shedeur Sanders it comes with more media attention and more scrutiny,” Clark said. “He’s going to be treated unlike anyone else in that locker room or anything else we see in the league.
The whole point was Stefanski pretty obviously didn't want Sanders, ownership forced that move, and now Stefanski is stuck dealing with a problem he intentionally tried to avoid. It has never made sense, in the history of sports, for a player to be on a team where the head coach doesn't want him on that team.

Not how I took it. But even if it was his point doesn't it still stand? If the coach doesn't think he can play or won't play hom, then get rid of him. How does keeping him help the team?

Ryan Clark likes black people more than he does white people.

The browns QB1 is hurt. They signed a 40 year old Flacco and drafted 2 high profile rookies. They traded the 40 year old. They named one of the high profile rookies the starter. Now the other high profile rookie is on the roster and people want to know he's QB2 or QB3. If he's QB3, it means he will never have a spot in the org and it's stupid for Cleveland to invite everything that comes with Sanders (as Clark said) into the locker room if he's never going to play.

Seems like he'd be QB2 just be default. Seems odd that he would be QB3 and then when they get rid of QB1 all of a sudden the practice squad QB is the backup.

Also, Clark's entire point was not to trade Sanders for the benefit of Sanders because "he's not playing it's not fair!"

He's saying they need to part ways for the benefit of the Browns.

"If you don't see him as a future starter of your team, it's time to part ways. It's time to trade him. It's time to get him out of your locker room because if your plan is not to develop him as a future starter of your team, too much comes with him."

Because Kevin Stefanski is being stupid and not starting him.

Literally his point. If you can't read between the lines or interpret what RC says I don't know what to tell you.

You'd think that, but Cleveland has made it pretty clear since drafting him where he stood on the depth chart.

That's Clarks point. If he's not QB2 behind Gabriel, then why have him on the team? If he can't beat out Bailey Zappe, then there's no reason at all for him to be rostered.

He even said that Stefanski should "give a Shadeur reason" or "give a Zappe reason" to get the media and fans off his back.

Everyone knows Stefanski didn't want this.

This is a dumb take. Sanders is a rookie with no value to other teams. Clark should shut up. Browns are Sanders him a favor.

Fun Bunch,

Even if that is what he means isn't it still good advice? You think it's good to have your 3rd string qb causing distractions covered on multiple sports platforms?

You're hearing what you want to hear.

Clark literally called out Shedeur's play in the preseason.

I thought that was basically his entire point. If the guy is going to be jumped by the practice squad QB there is no point to keeping him on the roster and he could be cut.

Man I wish half of these reply guys would simply watch the video and listen to what he has to say instead of taking this click bait headline and running with it.

It's okay to hate Ryan Clark. It's dumb to complain about things he's not actually saying.

Yea I didn't watch the video but that's kind of instantly what I thought when I saw the news they wouldn't name him QB2.
