Now that is a question I can not answer.
I have a friend who is a very supportive alum ($$$ I’m assuming he contributed heavily to the building of it) that probably knows the answer to that question, but I’m not asking at this time of the night.

Anyone else in the Nola area miss waking up on Saturday morning to the Metro Prep report in the paper??
If you were lucky your team was on the front or back page (in color) - if not you had to hope you had a black and white shot from your game with a story attached on the inside
.. really miss those days. I was in there 3/4 different times (04-05). Still have the clippings

Anyone know why the divisions are unbalanced? I thought they were supposed to be roughly equal.

See here’s the trick… the hardcore St. Aug people ride for St. Aug more than LSU. I’m sure somewhere in the Dome will have LSU on a TV

It was mutual… 4A didn’t want to compete for 5A playoff spots and 5A didn’t want 4A competing for theirs when schedules were drastically different. I call it the Northwood rule…

Those look roughly equal to me.
Exactly equal for non select would be 40.5 per division

NS Div 2 is 22 percent larger than Div 1
Moving 4 teams from 2 to 1 puts both at 40.

Yes
At this point we should just bite the bullet and get rid of class 3A and class B… have four classes and just C for non-football schools
I also see a rule change coming to limit Division IV to 1A schools
