If that lard arse Mangino got them to a BCS bowl, Les would have success there too.

That's not how that works at all.

So much stupid in such a small sentence. He gets paid regardless if his agent floats his name, the State of Louisiana isn't paying him anything.

I feel like Les could turn them into a respectable team but at his age I don’t think he would go to a rebuild like that.

I'd be down to go to Johnny's Tavern every Monday and listen Ole Les talk on the Coaches Show. Wilson Wings and Les Speak would be a great way to start the week.

Death knell for his career. I could see him maybe having some success at someplace like Nebraska where he'd stand a chance at recruiting some talent.

But he's not going to get any kind of talent at Kansas. And his antiquated style of offense will get wrecked.

He’s not fleecing LSU.
The incompetent leadership has done it all to themselves.
Apparently they even have our current HC a buyout which is unbelievable.

Miles just wants to lead young men and make a little money in the process. I’m rooting for him.

Jeff Long literally just said, “I’m just looking for a coach who wants to lead young men” in the press conference. It’s happening

I hope Kansas overpays and hires his arse, it could work out but I'm betting in the end Miles gets a phat paycheck and Kansas is still looking for the next Mangino.

I don't see Les sinking that far.

Why not? Would be a good hire. He has his old contacts from Okie St days for recruiting

I think Leach would clean up there. Recruit TX hard

Feldman: Am told by a source that there's a lot of momentum for Les Miles at #KU as the new head coach, and that he's emerged as a frontrunner.*

Good. I hope Les coaches until he’s 80.

He’s one of the most accomplished coaches in sec history, his legacy is set, I think he’ll do well at Kansas. What is “well”? Idk, topping out at 7-8 wins?

Les is past his prime and Mangino had an offense.

Kansas needs to hire Bob Stitt.

Ill believe it when i see it. He has to feign interest in jobs to collect those checks from LSU. Hes 65 i highly doubt he wants to start over while his kids are playing college sports and he has a stress free side gig as a commercial actor.

And more power to him, Joe Alleva is a fricking retard who gave him that buyout and replaced him with a low grade version of Miles so he should have to pay every damn penny of that buyout to Les.

I think this is not the case. He has to be actively looking for another coaching job as part of the terms. Every year he gives fake interest to a job or 3.
