Completely different circumstance. If you sack a QB but him below the knee it’s roughing the passer. If you hit the QB late anywhere it’s a penalty same with kicker/punter. I’m strictly referring to the low hit on the QB in the pocket. They have a target zone.

People are okay with running into/roughing the kicker/punter penalties, but they hate roughing the passer calls. You want defensive players diving into QBs knees.

FGs over 60 yards are worth 4 points, at any level, HS, College, NFL.
Overtime is played as a continuation of the second half. If the 4th quarter clock expires in a tied game, OT begins at the point of interruption.
Start the season 6 weeks later, football in triple digit heat sucks!!
Go back to the Power 7 Conferences, Big 10, SEC,ACC, Big 8, SWC, Big East, and Pac 10.

He used terrible justification but he's merely saying go back to the way it was the previous 60 years.
They changed the rule in 2023 to shorten the game and add a full minute to the TV timeouts.

OL is not nearly as violent as it used to be. All of the zone blocking schemes are about creating angles and shielding players. It's no longer about dominating the man lined up in front of you by driving him off the line of scrimmage.
