The Boston Celtics needed to rebuild, but dang...

It sucks seeing them get rid of all the players that started for the recent championship team, though. Kendrick Perkins, Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, and Paul Piece are already gone, and Rajon Rondo might be the next to go... Some of my favorite players of all time.

It's going to be a long time until this team is good again.

I don't understand where this "Dwight is soft" nonsense is coming from. You don't become one of the best rebounders and interior defenders by being soft. Call him indecisive if you want, but soft? No.

He's physically gifted on an insanely elite level.

When people say he's soft, they mean mentally, and I tend to agree with that criticism.

Ask Timmy D about it:

Doesn't matter either way. It's not happening.

Couldn't agree more with everything you said. Parsons means more to this team than just what you see on the court. He is the heart and soul of it to an extent.

I'm just afraid of getting no value for him down the road if we aren't willing to pay him what he will be worth.

"Fitting in" is not what you said here:

quote:

Paul Pierce was a similar type of player as Harden.

They may have had similar stats at one point, but that's where the comparisons should end.

Ginobli is the comparison you should use for Harden. They both rely a ton on getting to the line and can get hot from 3.

I've learned not to say that with Morey. He's off mindfricking some other GM right now.

You sure like to argue about dumb shite. I didn't say he was a carbon copy. I posted why they were similar players. Both wing scorers who at one point or another have been looked at as needing the ball to be effective, which is a dumb statement. In the context of playing next to Rondo, Harden is a similar type of player who could work just like it did with Pierce. It's not like he was a slasher or a catch and shoot guy. He was a scorer who needed the ball in his hands. Point is, it worked with him and could work with Harden easily.

Meh that reputation alone is why GMs may stay away from him. He pretty much guaranteed an Asik trade in December and then looked foolish when it didn't happen. I don't see a major move for the Rockets and honestly we don't need one. We are finally getting healthy and it's showing on the court. McHale has a rotation that he is comfortable with and we are 3rd in the West, 3 games back from the Spurs. If we don't make a trade, I like the roster as is going forward.

Harden is better than a 32% 3-point shooter.

I'm convinced he's still dealing with his foot injury.

And by the way, Morey is unwilling to give up Parsons.

It was Ainge who wanted Parsons in a deal for Rondo. Morey isn't willing to trade Parsons.

No, winning is the heart of any team.

Rockets should leave well enough alone. Depth and rotations are their best assets and they're one Durant rolled ankle away from playing for the title.

No it didn't, because he and everyone else knew he was full of shite when he said that.
