Wut?
I would LOVE to see Parsons go. He lights it up against OKC typically.

Was going to say this too.
Have fun with those 2 personalities on the same squad. Disaster waiting to happen.

I seriously doubt you get Rondo and Green for Lin & Parsons.
I would have to think Asik is moved as well in the deal.

this.
you don't take the ball out of your franchise player's hand (because he needs it in his hansd). Even if the PG is arguably the best pure passer in the league.

There would have to be other teams involved. Lin and Asik combined make 30 mill next year in actual dollars because of the poison pills. That would be hard for any time to take on.

Paul Pierce was a similar type of player as Harden. It could work. The problem is that you can't trade Parsons to get Rondo. Parsons could have made the all-star team if he were in the East. He produces across the board. I love Rondo and would do backflips if Houston managed to get him, but not at the expense of Parsons.

Its gonna take Parsons + picks.
I wouldn't do it if I was Houston. But Morey really wants that third "star" apparently.

Wing scorer capable of getting to the rim, the ft line, and burning you from three. He averaged 25, 6 and 4 the year before the Celts won the title compared to Harden's 24, 5 & 5. He wasn't a catch and shoot guy either - he needed the ball in his hands.
The next year his scoring dipped to 20 a game but was still a star player. I don't see why Harden couldn't be the same kind of guy. Hell he averaged 17 playing with Durant and Westbrook. He would still be effective.

Probably, although Boston is one of the few teams that wouldn't care if they had to pay that money.

Disagree with Harden needing the ball in his hands. The Rockets play better when the ball moves around.

Agreed. It's why Dwight has gone off in Feb, averaging 26 a game. Harden is capabale and is willing to play that style, we just don't have a true point. Lin is a scorer more than anything and Beverly is a gritty defender but not a facilitator. Lin will make plays but isn't a floor general or anything. Parsons and Harden are better at that.

I just don't think it's a good deal if Rockets lose Parsons.
Harden isn't a catch and shoot player nor is he that efficient from 3 (6 attempts per game at 32.9%).
Rondo is a great PG, I think you guys would be great with him. I just don't think losing parsons and gaining rondo will do your team any good. Parsons is pretty damn good and underrated. Only getting jeff green can offset what you're losing in Parsons, but we all know that won't happen.

Yeah I guess you're right.
Just feel like Harden needs the ball in his hands more than Pierce did.

Everytime I watch them, I think the same. I guess we're wrong. haha

I'd like to see Rondo and Dwight in the same locker room. They'd be great on the court but hilarious as far as offcourt chemistry

Hawks should package Teague and the 1st round pick and ship that off to Houston for Lin and Asik

Morey has said that the best valued contracts in basketball are rookie deals and max deals. If it was up to him I think he'd have 3 max players and then a bunch of guys on rookie deals around them. By Houston making Parsons "available" I think it's a sign that Morey doesn't plan to resign him. IMO if you can land Rondo and you have to give up Parsons you do it, let's see what Robert Covington can do at the 3. If not you can sign a Martell Webster type.

Trading for Rondo and leaving your SF positions to Casspi and Garcia is telling me they think
