I dont believe for 1 second that Haslem forced Manziel on the the Browns staff. The guy is not Jerry Jones

If the Browns give the job to Brian Hoyer after 2 games, a torn ACL and OTA's w/o giving Manziel a legit shot during the pre season they are idiots.

Isn't it kinda odd/funny that the pic of him rolling the coke straw barely got any media play? A mention or 2 here and there. By the end of the day, it was an after thought. That's a pretty big deal, don't ya think????

Cleveland Browns must really want to go through another 4-5 win season again. They love it.

I agree. He's more like 80's era Steinbrenner.

I'll take him either becoming a shite talking, fast partying Hall of Fame player or being absolutely destroyed from getting thrown into the fire starting week 1.

My nightmare is for him to become a mid range starter while gradually maturing, though.

I posted here that he looked like shite in OTAs and was laughed at. He's been garbage so far, throwing pick 6 after pick 6 in practice. Hoyer will start until the season is done and then Manziel will get some, "Hell why not" starts later in the year.

What happens when Hoyer puts up something like 4200 yards, 62% completion, and 26TD/10INT.

Do you trade Johnny?

As he should. They actually looked like a decent offense with Hoyer at the helm. 3-0 as a starter last year.

And imagine the media and public uproar if they throw Manziel in there, before he is ready, and he struggles.

Yep, it's going to be a crash and burn story. If you want to be successful QB in the NFL then you can't party like this all the time, you just can't.

bc he would have been getting extra reps with his receivers when he was out at the club at 1 am?

the browns might have had a decent qb situation had they not drafted manziel, or maybe even if they drafted him, got rid of Hoyer, and brought in a lame-duck veteran. the whole organization is destabilized for a guy who's probably not a future star. they might have had something in Hoyer, whom we at least know he can play in the NFL, but one incompletion, one pick, one loss, and Skip Bayless will be all over Cleveland. when you're already down josh gordon and you've been losing for years, you don't want to ruin confidence like that

Hoyer actually wasn't terrible before blowing out his knee.
