Reigning Big 12 champion golfer Celia Barquin Arozamena murdered at golf course

A native of Puente San Miguel, Spain, Barquin Arozamena was the 2018 Big 12 champion and the Iowa State Female Athlete of the Year. She was 22 years old.

I'm not saying you are lying but that's hard to believe. Who would wait around a golf course to attack a random girl/woman? There aren't very many of them out there. Seems like it would be a stalker type, but that's just my first inclination. Either way, terrible.

There was an assault at Warrior Hills at Ft. Polk a few weeks ago. There's a jogging trail that runs around the perimeter of the course.

Looking at Google Maps, there is a creek that runs along the back of the course. On the other side of the creek, there is a wooded park.
Seems like plenty of places to hide and wait.
A terribly sad story.
ETA: Looking at the Iowa State board, there was a homeless camp across the creek from the golf course.
