Ridiculous to take it away from him anyways. He was without a doubt the best player in college football that season lol.

He wasn't though lol. Vince Young was

It's not like he took some PEDs that gave him a physical advantage over the competition. He just took some money. That money did not make him a better football player.

He deserves his Heisman.

Well they didn't take it away from Bush and give it to Young, so that has frick-all to do with this.

On a seperate issue, will this influence the vacated Championship?

I really just enjoyed USC and their Heisman Twins taking the hit for all that.

him breaking rules didn’t give him a competitive advantage as a player.

He sure did.

And every other big time college player did too.

Only the ridiculously naive believe any coach, team, or star player didn’t break the rules.

Can Alabama have the wins back that were vacated for a couple players selling their text books?

Being the best player of the year has frick all to do with him having the award taken from him too.

He broke the rules. The rules were not some sort of constitutional violation. He's a cheater and USC cheated. Is the NCAA now going to start compensating all the teams they put on probation over the years? What sort of payments will be made to SMU? ETA yes I know the NCAA is not giving the trophy to him, I'm just extending the logic of this to the NCAA and teams that were on probation because of the logic of the decision about the changing nature of CFB.

None of this disputes the fact that he was the best player in college football. He won the heisman and should have never had it taken.

Happy to hear he’s getting it back.

VY certainly outperformed Reggie in the championship game, but Bush undoubtedly had a better regular season (which the Heisman is based on).

VY's regular season stats were somewhat pedestrian as Texas had a great defense and VY rarely took meaningful snaps in the 3rd and 4th quarter. IIRC the Texas a&m game killed any chance he had at the Heisman.

Actually, they did offer it to him in 2010 after stripping it from Bush. This is well-documented

That's why giving him the Heisman is such a slippery slope. Where is the line? Does Ohio State get their 2010 Sugar Bowl back the year that they were paying players with tattoos? Does SMU get reparations for tPony Express? It's all legal now

Heisman is completely separate and that's why I don't think the NCAA will budge, as they shouldn't
