On Halloween 2018, Jay Gruden’s team was 5-2 and in first place in the NFC East. Less than a year later, he’s out. Alex Smith injury, Trent Williams holdout, multitude of issues made it a difficult position in which to succeed.

No doubt. He doesn’t have to work anymore this year and he gets a fat check

not if they made him take a drug test before canning him. Then Snyder could possibly void his contract for cause.

Would be stupid for him to agree to a test.

Washington’s coaching staff once included Kyle Shanahan, Sean McVay and Matt LaFleuer. Now it will be looking to hire a head coach as capable as the assistants it lost.

I thought this was amazing to see this.

Likely

I'd love to be the fall guy if I could still get paid.

Gruden is not a great coach but a lot of the problems in DC start with Dan Snyder and end with Bruce Allen.

There is only so much a coach can so with retards as owner and GM.

I’m sure Snyder and Bruce Allen will make a great hire and change the culture instead of hiring another yes man...

New this day was coming. There has been a lot of speculation here in Columbus that Snyder will look at Ryan Day from Ohio State. Day has coached in the NFL and has ties with Dwayne Haskins. If Washington fires their GM as well and they hire Louis Riddick, then Day to Washington will really gain steam as Riddick speaks highly of Ryan Day. Not saying it will happen, just that there will be noise about it for sure.
