1. Missed a clear fumble and called the player down.
2. Almost didn't review if Buffalo didn't call timeout
3. For some reason decided to review and somehow said the call stands
4. Somehow Buffalo got their timeout back even though it wasn't a challenge.
5. Buffalo called timeout, they let the play go on still and the QB got hit. Play didn't count.
6. Timeout was called after Pittman went out of bounds with :19 left.
7. For some reason, the refs shaved 5 secs off and let it only be :14 after the timeout.

What in the actual?

Yep that was a very bad sequence for the Colts, even worse for the Refs

Add in the part where they didn't explain why the call stood, and this is pretty accurate

Why was the clock running after the receiver went out of bounds at 19 seconds? They stopped it only to spot the ball and then it started running again.

Part of his leg by his ankle was down as the ball was being punched. CBS showed that angle once

Believe Pittman fumbled ball backwards. Not sure how 5 secs went off though.

Pittman fumbled the ball out of bounds. I'm guessing the clock starts when this happens.

the clock was not a mistake. Pittman lost the ball backwards out of bounds

You would make a fantastic replay official.

No, no it wasn't. One replay showed that the first time he was touched was when Poyer touched his back. The other replay angle showed that Poyer didn't touch his back until his leg was off the ground.

Replay officials seem to be incapable of piecing together camera angles.

Since it was a running clock, replay waited until the last second before buzzing down. There was no timeout, it was a booth initiated replay, the ref stated all this. Now whether replay got the call right is a different matter.

He didn't go out of bounds he fumbled the ball backwards, the announcers missed it but the ref threw the marker. The clock runs.

I think fumbles out of bounds in the final minutes do not stop the clock. It’s a rule to prevent someone from intentionally fumbling out of bounds or even unintentionally. This removes the need for refs to determine intent.

For me the worst of it was New York not stopping the Pascal play for review. That simply should never happen in any game in that scenario, much less a playoff game.

Al Riveron sucks at his job.

I saw this too. His ankle area was down just before the ball was punched out.

They also stopped the clock to talk about the fumble and let the colts lineup to get the play run.
Basically would have saved them 10 seconds if the colts weren't incompetent
